What Could Congress Learn From Her?

This is a wierd article ...what does Ms. Bender really know about radiation and why should she be invited to speak before Congress?  The article doesn't really say.  It Includes a picture of her with Arnie Gundersen but refers to him as Dennis Kucinich.

I went to her website and she clearly is misinformed:

"However, those ICRP standards only take into account the risk of external radioactive exposure, but not the internal exposure. From this perspective, ICRP concluded the official number of victims from Chernobyl disaster was a few thousands although the actual number has gone up to one million. European Committee on Radiation Risk (ECRR), another non-profit organization who also considers the radiation risk, provides more cautious perspective towards the internal exposure. ECRR champions the linier (sic) no-threshold model (LNT) that assumes the damage of internal exposure is directly proportional to the dose at all dose levels."

Hey, Ms. Bender, the ICRP takes internal exposure into account. There were not one million people killed from Chernobyl, you're getting that from the science fiction Chernobyl book written by Greenpeace activist Alexey Yablokov. The ECRR is a bogus group headed by anti-nuclear fanatic Chris Busby.  The ICRP has proposed that the LNT is the best model of radiation risk.

And you spoke in front of Congress?????????????????????????????????????????????????
