A Scientific Revolution Delusion

A climatology denier and a health physics denier walk into a bar.

Okay, not a bar, but a room.

A room at the Cato Institute (anti-government regulation ideologues) from last March with climate change denier Patrick Michaels introducing  toxicology (& health physics) denier Edward Calabrese.

The topic is "A Looming Scientific Revolution In Environmental Regulation?"

Answer: No, this is basically a neo-repeat of previous hormesis-cheerleader T.D. Luckey's talk (also given at a meeting of anti-government regulation ideologues named Doctors For Disaster Preparedness) from 2000 called, "How Health Physics Lost The 20th Century".

Hello?  We're still here!  There is no revolution, we've heard these old arguments before and they've failed!

This is no "new kid on the block" as Calabrese states.  Here's Luckey in 1993 preaching the same thing.  It's old, it's the same thing over and over again.

Albert Einstein, a Nobel Laureate scientist, described these people well:

It's really bizarrre at about 34:00, Calabrese picks on H.J. Muller for not reducing the doses he was working with (by doing so Calabrese claims Muller could have discovered hormesis).  He says Muller might have won a second Nobel Prize (ie, for discovering hormesis).

But Ed, you've "discovered" hormesis.....where's your Nobel Prize?

Your scientific revolution is a delusion.

(Note:  At about 59:45, S. Fred Singer (tobacco, ozone, climate change denier) is obviously in the audience.  What a cult!  A dangerous cult.)

Music please, Maestro:
